How It Works
Camera feed to staff action in under five seconds
Youtiligent converts passive camera footage into live operating decisions through three modules.
The Architecture
The technical flow
Existing cameras connect to an on-site agent. Edge inference sends only structured events to the dashboard.
Connect existing IP cameras
ONVIF-compatible cameras send RTSP streams over your local network to the on-site agent. No new hardware is required.
Inference happens at the edge
A CV model runs on a Raspberry Pi-class device. Frames are analyzed and discarded locally. No cloud upload, with latency under one second per decision.
Send structured alerts to staff
Only structured data, including zone, shelf, time, and severity, reaches the dashboard and staff via WhatsApp or email. Video stays in your store.
Module 1
Restock Intelligence
The CV model counts visible facings in each product zone on every camera frame. If the fill ratio falls below a configurable threshold, it alerts staff with the precise aisle and shelf location.
WhatsApp or email alerts give staff the store, zone, shelf, fill percentage, and suggested action. In our pilot stores, response averaged under four minutes from initial detection to a restocked shelf, based on our early-access data.
- Set a fill threshold for each zone
- Works under standard shelf lighting
- Start without a planogram file
Module 2
Loss Prevention
The model watches high-value zones for behavioral signals, such as long dwell time without a cart, repeated product handling, and unusual exit movement. It creates alerts, not a video archive.
LP staff receive event cards showing the zone, time, camera reference, and trigger type. These direct attention without replacing judgment. In our pilot, false positives in high-value zones were below 4%, based on our own pilot data.
- Store-specific zone watchlists
- No cloud storage for video
- Event feed, not raw footage
Module 3
Display Compliance
Add a reference planogram image for each zone. The system checks the live camera view against it, finds category and position deviations, and produces weekly compliance scores for each store and zone.
This helps during seasonal resets and promotional endcap updates, when visual standards change faster than staff messages can keep up. Pilot-store compliance scores rose an average of 23 points over 8 weeks, based on our early-access data.
- One reference image per zone
- Weekly store compliance scores
- Alerts for promotional-period deviations
| Zone | Store | Score | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Endcap A3 | Tel Aviv - Dizengoff | 94% | Pass |
| Endcap A3 | Haifa - Carmel Center | 71% | Review |
| Promo bay B1 | Tel Aviv - Dizengoff | 88% | Pass |
| Promo bay B1 | Beer Sheva - City | 59% | Alert |
Compatibility
Camera compatibility and integrations
Use the cameras already in place. Each store can be set up in one business day.
ONVIF cameras
Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, Hanwha, Bosch, and most other IP camera makers support ONVIF. No proprietary hardware is needed.
WhatsApp Business API
Send alerts to individual staff or groups via WhatsApp Business. Recipients need no app install. Staff use familiar tools.
Email alerts
Send alerts to manager lists or individual staff inboxes, with structured subject lines for filtering. Area managers can also receive a daily digest.
Webhook to your WMS
Growth and Chain tiers support webhooks to warehouse management or store communication tools. Custom routing rules are available.
Small on-site agent
The agent runs on a Raspberry Pi 5-class device or small VM on existing store hardware. It connects locally to camera RTSP feeds, so video uses no internet bandwidth.
One-day setup per store
Our team reviews camera mapping, zone settings, and alert routing with your operations manager. Most stores go fully live within one business day.
Data and Privacy
Video stays in-store
With edge inference, video frames stay inside your store network. The operations dashboard receives only structured event data.
No cloud video processing
The on-site agent handles all CV inference. Frames are processed and discarded locally. No video stream is ever sent to Youtiligent servers.
Only structured events
Only structured records go out: timestamps, zone labels, severity scores, and action types. No biometric data, facial recognition, or raw images.
GDPR and PCI-DSS relevant
The edge-only video design matters to retailers handling GDPR obligations for camera data or PCI-DSS requirements. Video never leaves your controlled environment.
